CTE: MVCC Campus Tour & Admission Presentation

Recently Proctor students participated in a campus tour of Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) followed by an admissions presentation that was focused on supporting postsecondary planning and college readiness. During the visit, students learned about the Bridge Program, transfer credit opportunities and general studies degree requirements, as well as the benefits of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), including receiving an MVCC student ID and access to campus resources using their MVCC ID. Admissions staff also reviewed the 10% tuition guarantee and compared MVCC tuition costs to other colleges and universities, highlighting the affordability and value of beginning higher education at MVCC. Overall, the experience provided students with practical information about academic pathways, student supports and cost-saving opportunities while increasing confidence in the college transition process.
