Cohort 2 of the DOT Pre-Apprenticeship Program proudly welcomes 13 students from Proctor High School who are dedicating 80 hours to hands-on training and career readiness. This dynamic program provides foundational skills in carpentry and masonry, preparing students for real-world opportunities in the construction and skilled trades industries. In addition to trade skills, students will complete their OSHA 10 certification, develop professional resumes and cover letters, and explore career pathways in the field. This cohort represents the next generation of workforce talent, ready to build strong careers from the ground up.
The Utica City School District extends its sincere thanks to its valued partners—Mohawk Valley Community College, the Department of Transportation, and Working Solutions—for their continued collaboration and commitment to student success. Their support has been instrumental in creating meaningful learning experiences and opening doors to future career opportunities for our students.
