On May 14, Proctor High School hosted its annual Spring Concert, featuring outstanding performances from the Symphonic Orchestra, Band, and Senior Choir. The evening was a showcase of talent, preparation, and passion from students and music staff alike.
A highlight of the night was violinist Kenny Hoang receiving the prestigious Oneida County Music Educators Association Scholarship. This award is a tremendous honor that recognizes promising young musicians in our region.
The Symphonic Orchestra, led by Mr. Kishman, opened the concert with Mozart’s beloved Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, delivering a dynamic and polished performance. Mr. Wronka and the Band followed with a vibrant program, including crowd favorites from Mulan and Moana, featuring several impressive student solos.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt performance by the Senior Choir, directed by Dr. Kudelich. As they sang Nine Hundred Miles, a touching slideshow played in the background, honoring each graduating choir member, both past and present.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our students. Your presence helped make the evening even more special.
